rechecking the 50 bags at Morocco
This was Cinci airport
Hello everyone,
We arrived safe and not so sound at 1:30 AM to the compound here in Gabon. It was a lot of travel and interesting events at the airports. It started in JFK with sitting on the tarmac for 1 hour 40 minutesafter we landed. We did have a good time playing a computer trivia game against each other and the winner was ...... Tim Bosserman. Let's give him a hand. After that delay we ran through the airport to catch our flight to Morocco. The food was very interesting on that leg of the flight. We again had a great time together on the flight, even got some sleep time in. Well like an hour but it was some sleep. In Morocco the kids got a taste of rude people and we also had to claim our luggage, go through customs and recheck it. People were cutting in front of us constantly and it was so frustrating yet GOD IS SO GOOD. The people who just cut their way got thier luggage opened in customs but because of Big Whip they just let us go right thru. A nice lesson for the kids too.We had 4 hours to hang out after that at a hotel between our flight. They feed us and we took naps for the most part. We headed back to the Aeorport and had to go thru security where people again kept cutting in front of us, then repeat at passport control, more cutting and finally we got to our gate after and hour and 30 minute. Then at the gate they had boarding for Lyon, France, so we sat and waited for them to post Libreville. And waited and waited then at 5:30 Steve asked the attendant about our flight, which they replied youorflight has boarded. We all jumped up and ran to the bus that took us out to the tarmac and boarded the plane. Again God is Good. Finally landing at Midnight here in Gabon and getting to bed at 3 AM. Today we are adjusting to all the travel and enjoying the friendliness oif the Gabonesse people. Spent th afternoon at the beach and dinner is now ready. Tommorow we start building a wall and working with the children. I will post pics soon but dinner is calling. Thanks for your prayers and it has only begun so keep it up. With all the flight little glitches we could tell you were praying for us........ oh just heard that the Aeroport workers here in Libreville are on strike. See your prayers had great timing so now will we get home???

Good news to hear how you have arrived, and with ALL the luggage- This is great news- which we were not taking for granted!
Hope you will all be able to get acclimated, adjusted to the time change, and begin to be productive there tomorrow.
We are thinking of you always- and praying for you.
.. Ps 33: 13-15 "from heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth- He who forms the hearts of all, Who considers all that they do....
God is sovereign, and He will accomplish (through you) what He purposes...
vs 10-11 ..But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations..
Glad to here that you made it safe and sound! Aren't blogs awesome. It is so neat to be able to communicate even though you are so far away. To know how to pray and what God is doing! praying for you all!

Hey Ali and TEAM -
I am soo glad to see you all made it safely to Gabon. Through all the trials you had on the flights, God saw you all through it - Can't image life without him. I hope your project for Tueaday went well. Continue to show God's grace to those in need; and to each other. We are continuing to pray for all of you.

Hi Tim and Team: While we miss Tim and trivia time at home we're glad to hear you had a fun time on the tarmac. Here's a reflection from a collection of Christian authors called "Opening Windows" that is my prayer for the team. " Lord as I open myself to compassionate ministry in your name, show me the work you want me to do here and now. I can't change the whole world, but I do want to bring your presence into my small world. Give me strength for today. Give me hope for tomorrow-because you are with me. In Jesus' name, Amen." We'll be checking the blog often..thanks. Love, Mom ( Janet B)
Doesn't surprise us that Tim knows his trivia. It is good to know it helped to pass the hours of travel. Can't wait to see more pictures from Gabon.
"Giving frees us from the familiar territory of our own needs by opening our mind to the unexplained worlds occupied by the needs of others."
A quote from Barbara Bush that I felt was appropriate to the Gabon team.
Linda (Tim's aunt)
Stacy,
Thanks for keeping us updated!
